Creative Director by day and paper maché artist by night, Katrina Wheeler finds inspiration in anything that walks, crawls, or flies. Dogs, cats, rabbits and bugs have all taken a turn as her muse. Using upcycled cardboard and paper packaging, she creates sustainable art and enjoys bringing every sculpture to life through color and experimentation. She is a nerd for oddly-shaped boxes and dreams of what she can make with them. She loves the smell of paper. She has hot-glued her hands together more times than she can count. In a past life, she has been an illustrator, web designer, and paper engineer creating paper toys for kids as featured in Papermania!. She currently teaches Make a Paper Maché Dragon Head on Creativebug, with more classes coming soon! Katrina lives with her husband, her daughter, a very fat cat and a puppy in Vancouver, Washington, where they love making things together.
